Report Sustainability Event Circular Raw Materials
On Thursday, March 26, the event “Sustainability – Circular Raw Materials” was held at Feed Design Lab. During this event, 4 speakers addressed this theme: Derk van Manen (Duynie): “Do more without drying: the power of wet upcycled stream in compound feed”, David Rotmans (FeedValid): “The (sustainable) advantage of dry circular raw materials”, Iris van Zoelen (foundation “Together against food waste”) and Joep Lemmers (LPX): “The golden standard in nutrition: How upcycled egg ingredients lead the way in circular feed innovation”.
During the event and the accompanying Q&A sessions, questions and discussions got off to a good start. At various points during the event, it became clear to us that there is a need among several parties to conduct (practical) research into the possibilities of processing (wet) circular raw materials into a dry compound feed or pet food product. Derk van Manen initiated this at the end of his presentation, after which a number of parties have come forward to start a project for this purpose. We like to invite you as a partner to participate.
For this, there will be a kick-off on May 4th from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Feed Design Lab, Stayerhofweg 25 F, 5861 EJ in Wanssum.
