I am Koen van Kessel, and my position at Geelen Counterflow is Commercial Director.
We have been a partner of Feed Design Lab with pleasure since its founding in 2014.
At Geelen Counterflow, sustainability goes beyond investing in product development, our people and buildings, new production methods, or machines. We want to contribute to improving the quality of society by sharing knowledge and insights. Since 2012, our company mission has been: the best dryers and coolers for feed & food, 100% sustainable. More than ten years later, we operate from the most sustainable office in the world and in a 15,000 m² factory that generates more energy than it consumes. Our dryers can run on many energy sources, including renewable electricity. We are now the market leader for counterflow dryers and coolers.
We believe that striving to eliminate all negative environmental impacts is not only good for the environment, but also for our customers, our company, and future generations. Our mission regarding sustainability, innovation, and knowledge transfer aligns perfectly with the mission of Feed Design Lab, the leading practical research and education center for innovation and sustainability in the animal feed sector. Additionally, Feed Design Lab offers a network where companies can connect with each other regarding questions or developments within the animal feed production chain.
