An interview with Sebas van den Ende, Victam Corporation
What is your relationship with Feed Design Lab and how long have you been a partner?
Victam has proudly been a partner of Feed Design Lab since its inception. We immediately recognized the importance of a hands-on innovation center for the animal feed sector. FDL connects science, technology, and entrepreneurship, an approach that perfectly aligns with our mission: accelerating progress through collaboration.
What is your role at Victam Corporation?
Sebas van den Ende is the General Director of Victam Corporation. Together with a strong team, he sets the course for VICTAM’s global activities. He ensures that our exhibitions and conferences connect markets, accelerate innovation, and advance the international animal feed industry. Bringing people, technology, and knowledge together is his driving force to push boundaries and create impact.
What does Victam mean to the animal feed sector?
Victam is the international platform for innovation in the feed industry. Our events connect the entire chain: from raw materials to finished products, from equipment manufacturers to nutritionists. With events in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, we bring players together worldwide, create opportunities, and accelerate the exchange of knowledge and technology. In 2026, we will again host Victam International alongside VIV Europe, making us the meeting point for the complete animal feed and agri-industry. Thanks to the innovative Smartplein and collaboration with leading knowledge institutes such as Wageningen UR, we set the standard for the future of the sector.
Why are you a partner of Feed Design Lab?
Feed Design Lab is a unique breeding ground for innovation. Theory and practice come together here in an environment where real breakthroughs happen, similar to what we do at the Smartplein: a platform for groundbreaking technologies in collaboration with universities, startups, and knowledge institutions. FDL plays an important role in the ecosystem where collaboration is central.
What themes should Feed Design Lab focus on?
The sector faces great challenges and opportunities. Sustainability, energy efficiency, and circularity remain urgent. At the same time, strengthening the international position of the Netherlands is essential. That is why we are jointly building the Dutch Animal Nutrition Pavilion 2025, during VICTAM LatAm in São Paulo. And with Victam International 2026, where we celebrate 60 years of innovation, we look ahead with themes and technologies that will shape the future of the sector.
