What is your relationship with Feed Design Lab/how long have you been a partner of Feed Design Lab?
We became a partner of Feed Design Lab in the 3rd quarter of 2022. The reason was that we were talking to an animal feed manufacturer, also a partner, who pointed out its existence to us. “You should become a partner of them Joric!”
What is your position within T&B electronic?
My position is advisor. Informally, I am a networker and curious.
What does T&B electronic mean for the animal feed sector?
We are a German manufacturer of spark detection and spark extinguishing systems by which our customers can prevent fires and even dust explosions. Preventing fires is better than trying to manage the effects, isn’t it? The feed market is a sector in which we do a lot. We work directly with animal feed manufacturers. You will find our products in transport and extraction systems, filters, silos, dryers, hammer mills, coolers, among other things.
Why are you a partner of Feed Design Lab?
The great thing about Feed Design Lab is that I learn a lot about the sector in all its facets through you. That is why I also went on the trip to Barcelona and Lleida organised by Feed Design Lab in mid-September. Only by understanding the market myself I can be a serious discussion partner for my (potential) relations. I want to speak the same language and share emotions.
Which themes should Feed Design Lab address in your opinion/which subjects do you find interesting?
Thanks to Feed Design Lab, I have already learned a lot and met very interesting people. It hurts me that such a beautiful industry, which is doing extremely well with regard to the theme of environmental impact per kg or liter of product, has to hand over so much to other (European) countries. We can often produce more and in a more environmentally friendly way than other countries and the industry should be rewarded for this. I think Feed Design Lab could contribute to an image campaign with its partners and other stakeholders. Good for the beautiful sector, good for the environment!
